Los Wembler's de Iquitos are living legends of Cumbia Amazonica. Since the late 1960s, the five brothers from the Peruvian rainforest have been shaping the psychedelic chicha sound with electric guitar, driving percussion and influences from Colombia, Brazil and the USA. Songs such as Sonido Amazónico or La danza del Petrolero are considered style-defining and have been covered by bands such as Los Mirlos, Chicha Libre and Firewater. On their comeback tour, they are proving that their music has lost none of its energy.
