Ikarus

Ikarus is two-voice singing that ranges from soft to penetrative and from melodious to scat, and a rhythm section that groovily experiments with challenging meters. The Swiss band is often underway in Europe and Japan and kidnaps the listener with a constantly-changing soundmobile.
Under the direction of composer and drummer Ramón Oliveras, the playing - comprising polyrhythms, driving grooves, organic improvisation and the blend of both voices - results in a unique music. The quintet offers an engaging and unprecedented live show – contemporary Jazz, which in its creation time and again takes an unexpected turn. In Moods they will release their new album, «Plasma».
