Arooj Aftab, Vijay Iyer and Shahzad Ismaily delight audiences with their unusual blend of jazz, Indian and Pakistani music and experimental sounds. Aftab's distinctive voice takes centre stage, while Iyer's piano and Ismaily's instrumentation create a multi-layered soundscape. The trio has released several albums and brings an energetic performance to the stage. On their latest album, Love in Exile, Aftab sings about her own exile, the search for freedom and identity, and how she finds it through love and music.
