The young pianist, Elliot Galvin, accompanied Shabaka Hutchings on his last tour and has collaborated with musicians such as Emma-Jean Thackray and Floating Points. He also has a direct connection to Switzerland through the band Ydivide. He is now performing his latest album, The Ruin, for the first time as a solo artist at Moods.

London's young creative scene has long been widely recognised as one of the most important trendsetters in contemporary jazz. However, Elliot Galvin represents a more avant-garde branch of that scene. His compositions range from flowing, meandering piano sounds to bleak yet beautiful musical portraits of English landscapes.

Elliot Galvin's unique piano and synthesiser sounds are complemented by the renowned bassist and singer Ruth Goller, the drummer Sebastian Rochford (of Polar Bear and a Patti Smith collaborator) and the violinist Mandhira de Saram.
