Velvet Rage

Sagil Ilyas Md. Amin is an interdisciplinary artist currently in his fourth semester of fashion design studies at the HGK in Basel. In his works, Sagil addresses his Swiss-Malaysian roots as well as his queer identity and comments on contemporary issues from this perspective. He weaves these topics into his works, which include sketching, draping, photography, painting, writing, performance and music, and which often flow into and complement each other in different projects.

"BOYTOY" as a series deals with the idea of projection, phenomenology and consumption of sex and intraspecific relationships between people from the artist's perspective.

Blending Afro based and Caribbean infused electronica with euphoric tunes. Bass, percussion and synth heavy – creating an unique blend of African and diasporic genres.

The style of Jenys, a project of 22 years old electronic musician born in Russia and currently based in Paris, can be defined as a beautiful fusion of crystalized IDM and catchy-tune pop music. She mostly known for her works using masterly intense voice-morphing blended with a glitch-core grooves such as the ballads «Being here» and «Hometown», both are the parts of her debut EP «S.ncerity». This time Jenys prepared a new live show full of vivid dreams and infatuation.

Besides being a delicious representation of the latinx community, HAUSVRAU is also a very needed breath of fresh air to the white conception of electronic music and performance art. Puta & culta, she is a ride through a mixture of brazilian funk with pop, house, latin techno, vogue beats and whatever else floats her boat. She is the fairy you didn’t know you needed, known as the Brazilian-funk-punk-vogue-pressure-valve princess!

The evening will be hosted by the French-Tunisian drag creature Klamydia from Karma. Born into the Swedish underground scene, Klamydia fearlessly challenges gender norms: "If you have a Bad Karma here is Klamydia!"
