Erika Stucky goes to the roots of the most typical of all the Swiss cultural experiences: the yodel. Yet the listener quickly realises that yodelling is not something prototypically Swiss, rather prototypically human, characterised in the most diverse cultures around the globe. And the yodel does not always bring only «Heile, heile Segen», but can also be something suicidal. Then the «Zäuerli» becomes Swiss Voodoo or becomes Alpen-Blues. Erika Stucky not only crosses boundaries by the development of her program. She also knows no boundaries when it comes to incorporating handed-down musical forms and compositions into her world. That is incessantly entertaining, surprising and witty – even when the joke sometimes gets stuck in the throat. Erika Stucky will be congenially supported by the guitarist Oli Hartung and the tuba-player Jon Sass.
