Palinstar is a parallel universe, planet, and self-heroine all at once. Behind the name lies a distinguished multi-instrumentalist who has toured globally with Boytoy, supported Caroline Rose, and performed at KEXP with Kush K. In 2025 she released her Debut: gay stuff, Emotional Jetlag, Heart Rock. Or a blend of grand Americana melodies with simple lyrics, inspired by Nirvana del Rey.

Voodoo Jürgens has become a fixture in the Austropop firmament. His first three albums, Ansa Woar, 's Klane Glücksspiel, and Wie die Nocht noch jung wor, are already classics of Austrian pop. Together, they form a kind of Sturm und Drang trilogy of early Voodoo. In addition to the Viennese dialect, his trademarks include the black humor resonating in his songs.

Now, Voodoo Jürgens & die Ansa Panier are back with a new album. For his fourth album, Voodoo Jürgens has given himself a musical rejuvenation and expanded his lyrical palette. He has, so to speak, left the beisl (as pubs are called in Austria) for the big, wide world.

The new album exudes a sense of new beginnings, energy, passion, and freshness. The band is modestly calling it "their best album, their greatest success." We can therefore expect great things from Voodoo and his Ansa Panier in 2026.
