David Murray can look back on a long journey: hardly anyone else has so energetically researched the connection and shortcuts between the avantgarde and tradition and in the process acquired a profile that makes him unique amonst saxophonists of his generation. For his latest project, Murray's Infinity Quartet is joined by the rapper, singer, actor and poet, Saul Williams. Grown up in the Poetry Slam-Scene, Williams became known through his Spoken-Word albums, vital blends of HipHop, Punk, Elektro and kicking lyrics. Murray and Williams – an explosive collaboration by two high-flyers who - through their music - want to draw attention to the pressing problems of the world.
