La Dame Blanche

A huge headscarf and cigar in hand: not everyone can bring so much coolness onto the stage like the Cuban Yaite Ramos Rodriguez aka La Dame Blanche. She grew up in the bubbling Cuba music scene as the daughter of Jesus “Aguaje” Ramos, Leader of the Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club. Cumbia and salsa - the musical styles that she has known since her childhood - provide the basis for her sound. With Hiphop, Dancehall and Reggae, she well and truly shakes up these old Caribbean styles until an irresistible hot-blooded mix has been created.
