«Hypnotic music created with the electric Bağlama»

Cem Yıldız Electronics, Vocals, BağlamaEmre Geris Electronics, SynthesizerPascal Pendl Visuals, Light Designer
Acknowledged as a modern-day Aşık, a troubadour, Cem has been relentlessly pushing the boundaries of modern Anatolian music, inspired by poets and folk musicians, such as Yunus Emre or Ali Ekber Çiçek. His idiosyncratic combination of shamanic folk acid, spiritual lyrics, and techno creates a hypnotic atmosphere on stage as well as on the dancefloor: this is where Cem is most passionately improvising with his beloved electric bağlama. His characteristic sound is deeply embedded in club bangers, such as Stil and Ejma with Acid Arab, and in his earlier works with Orient Expressions and İnsanlar.

Cem toured in Europe and performed, amongst others, at the Montreux Jazz Festival, Sonar in Barcelona, Dekmantel in Amsterdam, or Kilbi.
