At Moods, the powerful-voiced singer and artist will launch her new album, We Are The Ones, and demonstrate the stylistic diversity and depth in her music. The songs tackle moving themes: exclusion, solidarity, hope, and new beginnings. Carried by an expressive voice and a well-rehearsed multinational band, the result is a sound that is as rhythmic as it is multi-layered. Claudia Masika has painted a picture for every song on the album. The works are featured in the album artwork and will be on display in their original form at Moods. In this way, music and visual art intertwine, bringing the album’s stories to life on multiple levels.

The roots of her music trace back to the traditional songs of the Luo people, with which she grew up in Kenya. She has lived in Switzerland for many years and is active here not only as a musician but also as a visual artist and as the founder and president of HOFOGI, a charity supporting young women in Kenya.
