A master pianist and composer, Jovino Santos Neto is one of the top Brazilian musicians working today. Throughout his career, he has been closely affiliated with the Brazilian master Hermeto Pascoal.  He was an integral part of Pascoal's group from 1977-1992 when he fine-tuned his artistry and co-produced several legendary records. Since then, Jovino has established himself as a charismatic performer, whether playing solo piano, leading his Trio, his award-winning Quinteto, or in guest appearances with ensembles and orchestras worldwide. His relationship with Hermeto continues as a conductor of Hermeto’s big band performances and as an archivist of his work.

The three-time Latin Grammy nominee (2004, 2006 and 2009) will be joined by Dudu Penz on bass and Pius Baschnagel on drums. The three musicians have performed close to 150 times in Moods over the last 30 years – this will be their premiere as a trio.
