Eddie Henderson: an extraordinary genius

Some aspire to become professional musicians, while others dedicate themselves to sport or pursue a career in medicine. It's almost impossible to achieve all of these things in one lifetime. But Eddie Henderson proves that it is possible.

Eddie Hederson is a man of many talents. His life story is more exciting than many books. This living jazz legend was also a successful figure skater and studied medicine to prove to his stepfather that he could do it. He went on to become a practising doctor.He learnt his musical craft from the greats. Louis Armstrong himself gave him his first trumpet lesson, and Miles Davis, a family friend, encouraged him to pursue a career in music. Watch the video to hear his whole story.
