"Pistache" packs big moments into small packages. Pilu Koch’s solo project draws inspiration from the Baroque era. It intertwines sung stories, gently fusing them into a shimmering tapestry of pop, synths, harpsichord and world music. Pistache creates spaces for 20-minute sound still lifes – opera in micro-doses – in which you can drift and linger, where time seems to stand still.

Luca Pilu Koch (they/them/no pronouns) is a maximalist. The more senses that get to dance, the better. They write. They sing. They move.
Boundaries are material, not limitations. Having earned a bachelor's degree in jazz voice and a master's degree in interdisciplinary art at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Luca continues to expand and evolve their artistic tools and forms of expression.

Voice and body form the centre of this creative process. From there, multisensory projects in music, theatre and performance art take shape. Smells, tastes and touch are increasingly finding their way into the work, too. Perception is composed, spaces are brought to life, and senses are interconnected.
Luca is interested in the big picture: works that are not merely meant to be viewed or heard, but experienced. Total works of art with open edges and many points of entry.
