South Africa meets Jazz! The drummer Dominic Egli has gathered around him the bassist Raffaele Bossard, the trumpeter Feya Faku and the outstanding saxophonists of South Africa's young generation, Mthunzi Mvubu and Sisonke Xonti. Their coherent sound combines influences of different traditions and individual statements. The new album "Azania in Mind", highly praised by the press, is characterized by raw sensuality, serenity and earthy playfulness.
