Tizia Zimmermann & Chris Pitsiokos

Tizia Zimmermann AccordionChris Pitsiokos Saxophon
Practiced spontaneity has been a guiding principle in their creative process: the duo rehearses regularly, but rather than refine, distill, and reduce, they seek to add, mutate, and re-imagine, thus expanding the possibilities that might arise in the course of a performance. In this way they subvert the typical goals of rehearsal, turning it from a process of negation, into a process of addition; from a process of goal-driven progress into a process of ever-expanding aesthetic inclusion.
